She began exploring yoga back in the early 90s as a way to connect with a higher being while her brother Michael was transitioning from a human to a spiritual form. During that time, she discovered that yoga like dance allowed her to fully connect with her deeper self. With the name Faith, she has been able to fully embody the spiritual practice, and discover that her path is to share the beauty of life with the world. In her quest to share her passions and eclectic yoga teaching style, Faith incorporates her southern upbringing with yoga philosophy, modern mystical sounds, and the purity of breath. Her approach is devotional, fun, and informative, and it plays with the balance between fluid asana and stillness, form and formless, gravity and lightness.
Faith is an experienced-registered yoga instructor (E-RYT 500) whose subtle connections in the body, breath, and spiritual symbolism draw you deeper towards the experience of freedom in the asana and passion for life. She has studied with numerous instructors over the past 18 years, she is registered with Yoga Alliance, and she received her formal 200-hour certification from Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in New York City and has completed a 500-hour yoga teacher certification at Charm City Yoga. In addition, Faith is a writer, yoga podcaster, model, and Director of Faith Hunter Yoga: Embrace Your Flow Yoga Teacher Training Program.
